چکیده

In this paper we describe an action/interaction detection system based on improved dense trajectories [20], multiple visual descriptors and bag-of-features representation. Given that the actions/interactions are not mutual exclusive, we train a binary classifier for every predefined action/interaction. We rely on a non-overlapped temporal sliding window to enable the temporal localization. We have tested our system in ChaLearn Looking at People Challenge 2014 Track 2 dataset[1, 2]. We obtained 0.4226 average overlap, which is the 3rd place in the track of the challenge. Finally, we provide an extensive analysis of the performance of this system on different actions and provide possible ways to improve a general action detection system.

A New Vision-Based and GPS-Signal-Independent Approach in Jamming Detection and UAV Absolute Positioning Assessment

The Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) positioning in the outdoor environment is usually done by the Global Positioning System (GPS). Due to the low power of the GPS signal at the earth surface, its performance disrupted in the contaminated environments with the jamming attacks. The UAV positioning and its accuracy using GPS will be degraded in the jamming attacks. A positioning error about tens of...

Optimizing Disparity Candidates Space in Dense Stereo Matching

In this paper, a new approach for optimizing disparity candidates space is proposed for the solution of dense stereo matching problem. The main objectives of this approachare the reduction of average number of disparity candidates per pixel with low computational cost and high assurance of retaining the correct answer. These can be realized due to the effective use of multiple radial windows, i...

A Sliding Window Approach for Discovering Dense Areas in Trajectory Streams

The task of discovering dense areas aims at detecting regions with high concentration of moving objects from trajectory data and it plays an important role in the development of systems related to traffic and transport management. The problem has been investigated under two main assumptions: the representation of the trajectories in the euclidean space and the characterization of the dense area...

AT&T Research at TRECVID 2013: Surveillance Event Detection

This paper presents a general surveillance event detection system that participated in the interactive Surveillance Event Detection (iSED) task of TRECVID 2013. In the proposed system, a set of spatio-temporal features including Space-Time Interest Points (STIP) and Dense Trajectories are extracted, and a sliding temporal window is employed as the detection unit. Fisher Vector is used to encode...
